As our country celebrates 250 years of founding, this year’s Fourth of July fireworks are certainly going to be very popular for those wanting to see the color and glory in person! These are the top 4th of July fireworks displays in Hampton Roads which include massive waterfront, beachside, and park celebrations. These shows generally begin at 9:00 PM or 9:30 PM, but arrive early as venues fill up quickly

The best places to watch include:

Virginia Beach (Oceanfront): Featuring the Stars & Stripes Explosion along the Boardwalk (17th, 24th, and 31st Street stages) with live music and fireworks over the Atlantic Ocean.
Norfolk (Town Point Park): The Great American Picnic will offer a massive outdoor festival featuring food, live entertainment, and an epic display over the Elizabeth River.
Hampton (Fort Monroe): Fourth at the Fort is one of the area's largest, all-day community events, culminating in spectacular fireworks and a drone show over the water.
Yorktown (Riverwalk Landing): Features an evening patriotic concert and a stunning fireworks display launched over the York River.
Newport News (Victory Landing Park): Stars in the Sky will offer great viewing along the James River with live music and local food trucks.
Chesapeake (City Park): A large, family-friendly celebration which will include food vendors and musical performances leading into a brilliant evening show.

No matter where you choose to celebrate this Fourth of July, be sure to do it safely and have fun!
