We are excited to start the Launcher Youth Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy Program, a FREE 13-week hands-on experience designed for youth ages 13–18 who are ready to learn, build, and think like entrepreneurs.

Program begins on September 21st!

Youth will work as a team to build and operate a real vending-machine business, while gaining experience in:

💰 Financial Literacy
📊 Business & Inventory Management
📣 Marketing & Sales
🤝 Teamwork & Leadership
📝 Career & Resume Development
👔 Professionalism & Interview Skills

And it all leads to a Final Pitch Competition, where teams will present their businesses and compete for PRIZES!

Yesterday, we had the honor to bestow a GED to one of our Education & Employment Customers, along with a variety of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications to several others, during our graduation ceremony. 🎓

Our Executive Director, Paul F Calistro Jr, was given the honor of being the Keynote Speaker for his last official EED graduation (see his comments and other staff members in the link below).

Our House is closed today in observance of Labor Day, and even
Paul is taking a little break from his labor! 😎🏍️

He may look ready to ride off into the sunset, but not quite!, as he still has lots to do before we celebrate his retirement and remarkable 35 years of service on October 9.

Time to celebrate another staff anniversary (we'll have a few this month) - Christian Wills, our Community Court Case Manager/EPA Assistant for the Education and Employment Department (EED), who is celebrating his 1 year anniversary ! 🎉

He "loves working with our students through the various programs we provide and helping them find jobs/careers that benefit their livelihood and increase their stability" (and we know they are extremely grateful for that support). 💚💙
