🏡 Fun Fact About Conley, Georgia:
Before it was called Conley, the community was originally known as Moccasin Gap. In 1867, the area was renamed after the Conley family, who owned much of the local land. What began as a farming community eventually grew into one of metro Atlanta’s major transportation and logistics hubs because of its proximity to rail lines, interstates, and the airport.
Another interesting fact: Conley sits less than 8 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta, making it one of the closest unincorporated communities to the city while still maintaining its own distinct identity.
