👋 Meet Brooke!
🏡 Position:
Property Manager, Residential
💼 Professional Background:
It’s hard to believe, but I have been in Real Estate for over 20 years in some form or fashion! I started my career in Commercial Real Estate Property Management with companies such as Colliers, Inland, and Blue Ridge Capital. I have managed Class A portfolios with upwards of a million square feet in large metro areas, as well as small distressed properties in the middle of nowhere. When the market crashed and everyone in Real Estate lost their jobs, I ended up as an assistant manager of a 420 unit apartment complex undergoing renovation in a “challenged” area. While I loved the maintenance and renovation side of the job, the police chases, evictions, coyotes threatening pets, and the copperhead in my home all put a damper on the experience! I ultimately went to work as an Operations Manager with a top residential team in Buckhead where I then launched my own Transaction Coordination company helping residential agents with all of the scheduling, contract details, listings, marketing, and anything necessary to get closings to the table and make sure people were paid. I am now very happily part of a great team as the Residential Property Manager here at Top Shelf.

⭐ Favorite Part of My Job:
I love the fact that no two days are the same. There are so many facets to this job that it never gets boring. Whether it’s the Operations side of how the business works for our company and Team, a tenant maintenance request, or multiple large projects at once (large turnovers, trees falling on homes, new septic tanks, or any number of things) – there’s always something to do and there is always a way to help our owners, tenants, and vendors. Not everyone enjoys the chaos or being the “middle man” but it’s where I shine!
🎉 Fun Facts:
• I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma – smack dab in the middle of the country!
• I have to be pulled away from the pickle and olive aisle every time we’re at the store…
• I have to be in the mood for chocolate (and sweets in general), but when that mood hits, don’t stand in my way!
🌿 Outside of Work You'll Find Me:
Singing, or at band practice with my better half—always helping to promote and book gigs.
Watching football on Sunday, in the kitchen, or at Trivia with the DBE.
And…always still thinking about work…
