When a listing expires, many homeowners assume the market rejected their home.

That is not always what happened.

Sometimes the property was positioned incorrectly from the beginning. Sometimes the marketing failed to create enough demand. Other times, buyers showed interest, but the strategy did not turn that interest into an offer.

Labor Day is more than the unofficial end of summer or an extra day away from work.

It was created to recognize the social and economic contributions of American workers and the labor movement that advocated for safer workplaces, reasonable working hours, fair compensation, and greater protections for employees.

Those efforts helped move workplace reforms forward, including workers’ compensation laws that protect people when they are injured while doing their jobs.

For nearly 20 years, I have had the privilege of representing law enforcement families at the negotiating table. That experience has shown me that meaningful protections do not simply appear. They require preparation, representation, and people willing to speak up for working families.

Today, we honor every worker whose labor, sacrifice, and commitment continue to move our communities and country forward.

14 years at the same barber shop.

I started coming to All Star Clips back in 2012, the year they opened. Same year I got promoted to sergeant. Same year I got elected President of the Fraternal Order of Police. Funny how those things lined up.

Small businesses like this are the backbone of Clermont. They're not chains. They're not corporate. They're people who show up every day and take care of their community, one client at a time.
