Today’s got us thinking about the incredible pups who make a house feel like a home.

We can't celebrate today without remembering Charlie, our very first dog. For 15 years, this legend of a Beagle was the ultimate neighborhood celebrity—mostly due to his legendary escape attempts (and far too many successes!). Whether he was making a break for it or craftily snatching food right off someone’s plate the second they turned away, he kept us on our toes and filled our lives with endless sweet, mischievous memories. He grew up right alongside Aidan, and he'll always hold a huge piece of our hearts.

After Charlie passed, the house just felt far too empty. Two years ago, we opened our hearts again and rescued Mary Lou. She stepped right in and instantly became Mollie's absolute best friend, bringing so much life and love back into our home.
