Brick and mortar still matters. But what happens between the bricks matters too.

A familiar Pretoria East landmark is entering a new chapter.

With construction underway, the former Pick n Pay Hyper in Faerie Glen is being transformed into New Quarter Shopping Centre, breathing new life into a retail destination that has served the community for over 40 years.

The redevelopment will extend the centre to approximately 26,000 m², introducing contemporary architecture, improved public spaces and an expanded retail and lifestyle offering.

The Pick n Pay store will undergo a significant modernisation, while Woolworths will introduce Woolworths Food, Woolworths Café, EDIT and WCellar. Existing retailers, including Clicks, will continue trading alongside new additions.

For PHG, the project reflects the potential of reinvesting in established properties and adapting them for the future.

Together with Moolman Group, Retail Evolution and the wider professional team, we look forward to seeing New Quarter Shopping Centre take shape.
