🇵🇹 Portugal — what a wonderful trip! ✈️❤️
After leaving Cape Town on 8 September, we started in Lisbon, then travelled up to Braga and further on before making our way down to the Algarve. We explored beautiful old towns, soaked up the history, enjoyed the incredible food, and travelled along some wonderfully maintained roads.
Our highlight was definitely Albufeira, where we spent five relaxed days. After all the sightseeing and exploring, it was lovely to slow down, unwind and simply enjoy being there. 🌊☀️
On our way back to Lisbon, we explored a little more, did some shopping and then took a day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Sintra was magical with all its history and beautiful scenery, while Cascais was another real highlight for us — such a beautiful coastal town with a wonderful atmosphere.
It was a trip filled with history, beautiful places, great food and lots of memories. We loved experiencing the different parts of Portugal and seeing how each place had its own character.
But as lovely as Portugal was… there really is no place like home. We make the best food 🙌🏻🇿🇦❤️
Back in Cape Town, grateful, happy and with some wonderful memories brought back with us. 🙏🏻
