We have recently become aware of scammers copying our rental property adverts from Property24 and Private Property and reposting them on Facebook.

These scammers pretend to represent an Agency (Platinum Properties) and communicate with prospective tenants through Facebook or unofficial numbers. In many cases, the scammers pretend to be the prospective tenant and arrange a viewing with our agent on the person’s behalf. The person then arrives at the viewing believing they have been communicating directly with Better Call the entire time, making the scam appear legitimate.

Please note:

❌ Better Call will NEVER communicate with prospective tenants through Facebook Messenger regarding rental applications or payments.

✅ We will ONLY contact you through the official contact numbers displayed on our Property24 and Private Property adverts.

⚠️ During a viewing, please confirm directly with the agent that you have been communicating with the correct person and official agency contact details.

❌ Never pay a deposit or first month’s rent into an account unless you have verified all details directly with our office and agent.

Unfortunately, scammers are becoming extremely convincing and are very good at making fake profiles and adverts look legitimate.
Please stay vigilant and protect yourself against fraud.
