What do those agent qualifications actually mean?

Those letters next to an agent’s name are not just formalities. They determine whether someone is qualified, accountable, and legally allowed to represent you.

- FFC: A Fidelity Fund Certificate issued by the PPRA, validating an agent's legal right to trade in property. No valid FFC? They cannot legally represent you.

- OC NQF4: The foundational real estate qualification. It includes theory, practical training, and workplace experience, followed by the PDE4 exam.

- PDE4: The Professional Designation Examination. Passing this is what makes an agent fully qualified, not just registered.

- NQF5 / Principal: The highest level of accreditation. Required to own or manage an agency, with greater legal and ethical responsibility.

Best Places to watch the Cape Town Marathon!

📅 Race weekend: 23–24 May 2026

The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is taking place on 23 and 24 May. The streets come alive, the cheer zones are out, and whether you're running or watching from a coffee shop, it's one of those weekends that reminds you why this city is special. If you're planning to spectate, here's your guide to making the most of it:

The best spots to watch from:
📍 Long Street (31–34km) – Adidas cheer zone, live screen, coffee on the street. Settle in between 8am and noon.
📍 Green Point Main Road (35km) – KFM broadcasting live, brunch spots right on your doorstep.
📍 Sea Point Promenade (36–41km) – The loop means two chances to cheer without moving. Atlantic views included.
📍 Finish Line, Vlei Road – Public seating, live commentary, and the best of the finish line drama.

🚗 Avoid driving through: the CBD, Green Point, Sea Point, Woodstock, Salt River, Claremont, and Newlands. Park-and-ride from Century City, UCT, or the CTICC for R50.

Our advice: walk, cycle, or take the MyCiTi. And if you're on the Atlantic Seaboard, you're already perfectly placed.
