Today was one of those days that is very difficult to put into words. 💙

25 years of Calitz Real Estate.

We knew today would be special, but I don't think we were quite prepared for just how special.

To everyone who walked through our doors, sent a message, brought flowers or a gift, shared a memory, gave a hug, raised a glass and simply took the time to celebrate this milestone with us; thank you.

Looking around today, it became so clear that 25 years isn't really about a number. It's about people.

The clients who trusted us. The landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers who allowed us into such important parts of their lives. The suppliers, attorneys, contractors, sponsors and business partners who became friends along the way. And every team member, past and present, who left their little piece in the Calitz story.

And of course, Corli. 💙

Twenty-five years ago there wasn't a celebration, a silver 25 or a room overflowing with flowers. There was simply a woman with the courage to start something; and the determination to keep showing up, year after year.

Today we got to see what those 25 years of showing up have built.
Not just a business.
Relationships. Friendships. Trust. History. A little Calitz family.

Our office was full today, but our hearts are even fuller.

Thank you for making this day so incredibly special. Thank you for being part of our story, and most importantly, thank you for being part of the reason we had 25 years worth celebrating.

25 years in property teaches you a few things… 😂🏡

Like the fact that “I’ll just quickly pop past the property” is almost never quick.

That keys have an unbelievable ability to disappear exactly when you need them.

That the printer can sense fear.

That there will always be an urgent maintenance issue at 16:45 on a Friday. 😅

And that somewhere between the leases, inspections, sales, viewings, phone calls, emails, contractors, keys, paperwork and the occasional office chaos… you build something pretty special.

You build relationships.
You collect stories.
Clients become familiar faces.
Colleagues become friends.
And somehow, 25 years go by. 💙

So today we're not getting too serious about it.
We're just incredibly grateful that after 25 years, we're still here, still laughing, still working hard, still occasionally looking for the keys… and still getting to do what we love.

💙 Somehow, 25 years happened...

When we started looking back over the last 25 years, we realised something quite funny — you don't really notice yourself building 25 years while you're busy doing it.

You're just getting up and going to work.
You're answering phones, meeting clients, showing properties, doing inspections, sorting out maintenance, chasing paperwork and trying to remember who has that set of keys. 😅

You're celebrating when a deal finally registers, welcoming a tenant into their new home, helping an owner through a difficult situation, laughing with the people in the office and occasionally having one of those days where everybody agrees that coffee should probably be considered an essential business expense.

And then you do it again tomorrow.

Some years are brilliant. Some are difficult. The property market changes, technology changes, people come and go, the way we do business changes... and somehow you just keep moving with it.

Then one day you look up and realise:
We've been doing this for 25 YEARS.

That's the part that feels quite incredible to us.

Because Calitz Real Estate wasn't built in one big, impressive moment. It was built in thousands of very normal ones.
A phone call answered. A problem solved. A client who came back. Someone who recommended us to a friend. A landlord who trusted us with another property. A buyer getting their keys. A tenant finding their home. A team member going the extra mile because that's simply what needed to be done.

And yes, probably a few thousand cups of coffee along the way. 😂☕

Those little moments became months, the months became years, and the years became a story we're incredibly proud to call ours.
25 years of Calitz Real Estate.

It's been busy, messy, funny, stressful, rewarding and very, very real.
And we wouldn't want our story to have been any other way. 💙

💙 25 YEARS ARE NEVER BUILT ALONE.

There’s the exciting side of running a business…
The properties.
The people.
The celebrations.
The SOLD signs.
The keys changing hands.

And then there’s the side nobody puts in the anniversary photos…
The numbers. 😂
Invoices. Statements. Recons. Reports. Payments. Paperwork. And all those little figures that somehow need to balance at the end of the day.

After 25 years of Calitz Real Estate, we know that a successful business isn’t built only on the things people see.
It’s also built on the people working quietly behind the scenes, helping to keep everything moving.
