🎁 80 additional gift boxes for Round Table, destined for two homes supported by this incredible organisation. Round Table is dedicated to uplifting communities through charitable initiatives, fundraising and hands-on service to those in need.

❌ MYTH: “Every property purchase attracts Transfer Duty.”

✅ FACT: SARS has set the Transfer Duty exemption threshold at R1,210,000! This means that if you purchase a property for R1,210,000 or less, NO Transfer Duty is payable!

Transfer Duty is calculated on a sliding scale for properties above this threshold. It also generally does not apply where VAT is payable on the transaction, such as when purchasing directly from a VAT-registered developer.

A University of KwaZulu-Natal graduate, Marco achieved his degree Summa Cum Laude before completing his articles in Durban and gaining valuable international experience in both London and Bermuda. Prior to joining Araujo Attorneys full-time, he served as Financial Director of JSE-listed company Trellidor.

Marco’s extensive financial expertise is invaluable not only to the firm but also to our clients, particularly when it comes to deal structuring, capital gains tax and foreign exchange matters involving international buyers and sellers and most recently Estate Planning.
