MYTH vs FACT

Think you know exactly when a buyer becomes the legal owner of a property? The answer may surprise you!

❌ MYTH:
“Once I sign the Sale Agreement, the property is immediately in my name.”

✅ FACT:
Signing the Sale Agreement is an important first step but it does not make you the registered owner of the property.

The property only becomes legally yours once the transfer has been registered in your name at the Deeds Office.

Between signing and registration, there are still a number of important steps to complete, including fulfilling the conditions of the agreement, obtaining the necessary certificates and clearances, arranging the transfer documents and lodging the transaction at the Deeds Office.

Signed ≠ Registered.

Our Ballito attorneys had the pleasure of attending the Summerhill House Fashion Show, together with our friends at Huizemark Ballito and what a fabulous morning it was!

But beyond the beautiful fashion and fun, this is an event that means so much to us because of the incredible work done by Summerhill House.

Summerhill House is a registered non-profit organisation with the sole purpose of providing holistic care for vulnerable, orphaned, and abandoned children through their children’s home (Village) and Community initiatives.

At Araujo Attorneys, we believe in supporting organisations that make a genuine difference in our community. Summerhill House creates a place where children are valued, supported and given the opportunity to thrive and that is something we are incredibly proud to stand behind.

OUR BIGGEST SANDWICH DRIVE YET!

What an incredible morning of community, teamwork and giving back!

The Araujo Attorneys once again joined forces with the Robin Hood Foundation, with some amazing community members joining us too, and together, we made this our biggest turnout yet!

With so many helping hands, we smashed our previous record and made an incredible 2,255 sandwiches! 🥪🎉

The sandwiches were donated to The Domino Foundation and The Ark KZN helping to support local children and people in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, rolled up their sleeves and helped us make a difference. It’s amazing what can happen when a community comes together for a good cause.

2,255 sandwiches. One incredible morning. A whole lot of heart.
