CITB South Australia CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) fund training and skills development for the South Australian construction industry.

CITB is a whole-of-industry led organisation that provides support to attract, train and retain South Australian building and construction workers by providing leadership in training and skills development. CITB:

Provides access to subsidised training for apprentices their employers and workers in the industry. Promotes and supports careers in construction. Advises the SA Government on industry training. Supports training innovation research and planning. Attracts our future workforce through vocational training in schools by supporting the doorways2construction® program.

Future tradies are getting hands-on experience on a vacant SA Housing Trust home, building practical skills in landscaping, bricklaying, painting and more.

It’s a great example of how early industry experience can help create pathways into rewarding careers in construction.

CITB CEO Holly Willcox says initiatives like this are helping build “a stronger, more diverse construction workforce for South Australia.”

With 225 new apprenticeship opportunities announced through the SA Housing Trust’s Employment Pathways Program, there are exciting opportunities ahead for the next generation of South Australian tradies.
