A shopfront that’s hard to miss!

Riverway Meats in Rasmussen is turning heads with a bold new addition to its Townsville premises.

The local butcher has transformed the side of its building with a larger-than-life mural celebrating the personality behind the business and its connection to the local community.

Located on Riverway Drive, Rasmussen, at a property managed by GEON, it’s great to see a local business bringing this kind of energy and character to its space - and attracting attention well beyond Rasmussen in the process!

Less than two months after taking over management and leasing of Paradise Garden Shopping Village in Thornlands, GEON has secured its first leasing deal at the centre.

Cignall has committed to a new five-year lease over a 35sqm tenancy and is now open and trading. The store is operated by an experienced multi-site franchisee with a number of Cignall locations across Brisbane.

The new operator adds to Paradise Garden’s established mix of retail, dining, health and service-based businesses, further strengthening the centre’s convenience offering for the local community.

The deal reflects GEON’s focus on actively managing leasing opportunities and securing operators that complement the tenancy mix and support the long-term performance of our clients’ assets.

GEON has successfully secured the final remaining tenancy at Smith Collective, with Viet Crunch committing to a new seven-year lease.

Occupying a 50sqm tenancy, Viet Crunch will open this August, bringing authentic bánh mì and traditional Vietnamese street food to the precinct. Ideally positioned alongside the recently opened VM Cosmetic Clinic and directly opposite Woolworths, the new operator will further strengthen the centre's food offering.

With this lease now secured, Smith Collective is now fully leased, reflecting continued demand from quality operators seeking well-located retail opportunities within one of the Gold Coast's most established mixed-use communities.

GEON is pleased to announce the successful leasing of the prime corner tenancy at Kensington Village, Bray Park to Cafe 63 on a new 10-year lease.

The new 120sqm café, complemented by a significant 180sqm outdoor alfresco dining area, will transform the centre experience for customers and create a vibrant new destination for the local community.

The project will also include the construction of a custom timber deck to accommodate the expansive alfresco offering - a major enhancement for the centre and a significant evolution for the precinct.

This marks an exciting milestone for Kensington Village, with Cafe 63 set to become a true game changer for the centre.

We're proud to support local motorsport talent through our sponsorship of Lachlan Evennett Racing.

Construction continues to progress at Riverway Plaza Stage 2, with improved weather conditions allowing works on site to move ahead at a solid pace.

Key milestones completed to date include significant basement excavation and footing works, installation of basement columns, perimeter retaining walls, Lift 2 footing, and completion of acoustic wall and fencing works.

Over the coming weeks, works will focus on remaining footings and retaining walls, basement services and slab pours, waterproofing and backfilling works and continuation of basement excavation works.

We're pleased to see strong progress being made and look forward to delivering the next stage of this significant retail and mixed-use development for the Upper Ross community.
