Investing in our team is just as important as investing in our projects. 👷‍♂️🏗️

Today, our in-house carpentry team spent time training on our new building scheduling program — helping us improve efficiency, communication and coordination across every project.

But training at Bellevue is about more than just systems and productivity. We continue to have open conversations around workplace health and safety, quality workmanship, and importantly, mental health within the construction industry.

Construction can be demanding, and sometimes one of the best ways to clear the mind and reset is simply having a good laugh with the people you work alongside. We’re very fortunate to have a team with the right personalities — positive, supportive, hardworking and always bringing a “willing to do” attitude.

A huge thank you to our carpenters and the entire Bellevue team for your continued hard work, dedication and commitment to improving every day. The quality of our homes starts with the quality of the people behind them. 🙌

At Bellevue Design & Construction, we understand that once you see your home taking shape in real life, ideas can change.

You might rethink where you want your pendant lights, how your furniture will be positioned, where you’ll charge your phone, or simply realise that a power point or switch would work better somewhere else.

That’s why, before we start sheeting the walls, we give our clients the opportunity to walk through their home with us while the frame is still open.

It gives you a much better understanding of the **space, layout and flow** than plans on paper ever can — and gives us the opportunity to fine-tune those little details before the walls are closed up.

Because for us, building a home isn’t just about following a set of drawings.

You don’t see this every day… Meet Max, the diviner! 🌿💧

Max has just turned 80 years young, but his knowledge of divining goes back more than seven decades. He started learning the craft when he was just 7 years old.

Divining, also known as water dowsing, is a traditional practice that has been used for generations to search for underground water. A diviner uses tools such as metal rods, a forked stick—or, in Max’s case, even a hand saw—and watches for subtle movements or changes in the tool as they walk across the ground.

What makes watching Max work so fascinating is that he doesn’t just indicate where he believes water may be found—he can also estimate how deep the water is.

There are fewer people practising this traditional skill today, making the opportunity to watch someone with Max’s decades of experience a real eye-opener.

Whether you see divining as traditional knowledge, an old bush skill, or something that deserves scientific investigation, there’s no denying the incredible amount of experience passed down through generations.

80 years young, 73 years of experience, and still finding water! 💧🌏
