📊 NEW ABARES PRODUCTIVITY DATA

The latest ABARES Australian Agricultural Productivity data shows a strong productivity rebound across Australia’s broadacre farming sector in 2024/25, with Queensland among the states recording an improvement.

Queensland’s overall productivity index increased 10.6%, while cropping productivity jumped 37.5%, supported by favourable rainfall and strong yields.

The data also highlights the impact of seasonal conditions, with climate-adjusted figures showing that much of the national improvement was driven by a favourable season.

For rural property markets, strong productivity, current commodity returns and ongoing demand continue to support confidence across Australia’s agricultural sector.
