A little more daylight, a little more sunshine — spring is officially settling in.

The September equinox marks the point in the year when day and night are almost equal in length, and here in Tasmania, it means we can finally look forward to longer days ahead.

It’s one of our favourite times of year in Greater Hobart — gardens coming back to life, blossoms appearing, and more time to enjoy the outdoors as the evenings gradually get lighter.

What actually happens after an open home?

For sellers, the inspection itself is only part of the process.

Once the doors close, the real follow-up begins.

We speak with buyers to understand their level of interest, answer questions, identify any concerns, follow up those who may be considering an offer, and look for opportunities to turn interest into action.

That feedback also helps us understand how the market is responding — from price expectations and presentation to the features buyers value most.

Good communication between an agent and seller is particularly important at this stage. You should know who came through, what they thought, where the genuine interest lies and what happens next.

Spring weekends in southern Tasmania are hard to beat.

The days are getting a little longer, gardens are beginning to come back to life, and there’s finally that feeling that winter might be loosening its grip.

From a walk along Kingston Beach or Blackmans Bay to a drive down the Channel, there are plenty of ways to make the most of a sunny spring day close to home.

We’re lucky to live and work in a part of Tasmania where beautiful coastlines, walking tracks and local cafés are never too far away.
