A look back at the history of the Kempsey RSL Club and its beginnings in Central Kempsey Park.

In 1933, the RSL Sub-Branch was granted permission to build a Memorial Hall, with the foundation stone laid by NSW Governor Sir Philip Game on 8 December 1933. The Hall officially opened on 31 May 1934, with almost 3,000 people attending, followed by a Grand Ball that evening.

From its early days as a Memorial Hall to the RSL Club we know today, it remains an important part of Kempsey’s history. ❤️
