Rate hike incoming? ๐๐ก
Australiaโs interest rate outlook has shifted again, with all four major banks now forecasting that the RBA will lift the cash rate by 0.25% at its 29 September meeting, taking it from 4.35% to 4.60%.
The change in expectations comes amid persistent inflation, higher energy and oil prices, stronger economic activity and increasingly firm signals from the RBA.
For mortgage holders, another rate increase could mean higher monthly repayments and more pressure on household budgets.
Of course, a forecast isnโt a decision. But with the next RBA announcement only days away, now could be a good time to review your current home loan rate, structure and options rather than simply waiting to see what happens.
