We’re proud to announce a major milestone for Celestino, securing approval for the first precinct within our community at Riverbend — marking our first masterplanned development project in Queensland.

The Precinct 1 Development Permit for the Riverbend site enables the delivery of 855 residential lots, multiple density housing sites, a primary school, a main entry boulevard, numerous parks and additional open space, representing the first stage of a broader masterplanned community that will ultimately deliver more than 7,000 homes.

Located within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area and the wider Logan Local Government Area, the Riverbend project will help meet growing housing demand across one of South East Queensland’s fastest-growing regions.

This approval represents a defining milestone for Celestino as we expand into Queensland masterplanned community space for the first time, reinforcing our long-term commitment to delivering thoughtfully planned communities that respond to the needs of growing regions while creating places people are proud to call home.

More than a residential development, Riverbend Precinct 1 is envisioned to be the beginning of a connected, liveable and nature-focused neighbourhood that will evolve into a vibrant community for future residents.

What an incredible start to the first round of the 2026 Sydney Science Park STEM Schools Challenge Field Days.

Across two days, more than 650 students, 80 industry partners and 40 educators came together to explore real-world opportunities and challenges using Sydney Science Park as the backdrop for learning.

Working alongside industry professionals, researchers and community partners, students explored the systems, infrastructure and innovations shaping connected and sustainable communities. From testing water quality using live environmental sensor data to investigating how heat, transport and energy systems may evolve as the precinct grows, students were encouraged to think critically about the future of resilient, connected and sustainable communities.

These field days provide a valuable opportunity for students to engage directly with the people, ideas and industries helping to shape the future of Sydney Science Park. The curiosity, collaboration and problem-solving demonstrated throughout the program highlight the incredible capability and potential of the next generation of STEM leaders and innovators.

We look forward to seeing how students apply their field day learning as they continue to develop and refine their solutions throughout the Challenge.

A sincere thank you to the industry partners who brought these experiences to life, and to the educators who continue to champion the program within their schools. The willingness of so many organisations and individuals to invest their time, expertise and energy into future generations demonstrates the power of collaboration in shaping innovative and connected communities.

Excitement is building as we continue delivering the first round of 2026 Sydney Science Park STEM Schools Challenge launch events across schools in Sydney, Newcastle, and the Central Coast.

During the launch experiences, students explored the vision for Sydney Science Park, an emerging precinct in Western Sydney, and tackled questions around what it takes to design a future city. From debating how transport systems may evolve alongside the future Western Sydney Airport to exploring how recycled water, urban agriculture and smart technologies could shape future communities, students investigated the connections between science, sustainability, infrastructure, and everyday life.

Through rapid-fire design challenges, map-based activities and collaborative ideation sessions linked to the CSIRO Urban Living Lab pillars, students explored the real-world opportunities and challenges associated with the development of Sydney Science Park and the continued growth of Western Sydney.

We are now looking forward to welcoming students to the first round of Field Days on May 21 and 22 as they continue refining the ideas and solutions they will develop throughout the Challenge.

Another fantastic weekend at the Hawkesbury Show.

Celestino was proud to once again support this iconic community event through our Jacaranda development — marking our third consecutive year being involved.

It was great to see such a strong turnout and to spend time connecting with so many locals and business owners. Alongside the team at Keyline Property, we enjoyed speaking with visitors, answering questions, and sharing more about the Jacaranda community at Glossodia.

Events like the Hawkesbury Show are a reminder of the strength and spirit of the region and why it is a great place to live — and we’re proud to support initiatives that bring people together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Celestino’s story is part of a much larger legacy that began over a century ago.

Founded in Western Sydney in 1916 by Celestino Baiada, the Baiada Group has grown into one of Australia’s leading privately owned companies, known for iconic brands like Steggles and Lilydale Free Range. What started as a humble family business has evolved into a leading poultry producer.

Today, that same entrepreneurial drive continues through Celestino - the property development arm of the Baiada Group - creating residential, commercial, retail and industrial projects that shape the future of how Australian’s live, work and play.
Our history is more than a foundation - it reflects a long-term vision and a commitment to delivering places we’re proud of.

We’re excited to share the latest progress at Jacaranda Glossodia, where construction continues to move forward and the future community is beginning to take shape.

Over recent months, early works have laid strong foundations, with site stripping completed across much of the project and bulk earthworks now well underway. These works are defining the future layout of streets, homes and green spaces.

We’re also seeing the vision come to life, with the future lake and wetland system taking shape, including a new dam embankment designed to enhance water quality and support diverse habitats.
Sustainability remains a key priority, with more than 60 manufactured hollows installed to support local birdlife, alongside the careful relocation of natural habitats into conservation areas.

Looking ahead, Stage 1 will soon transition into roads, stormwater infrastructure and essential services, with completion currently targeted for Q4. Watch the video below for more updates 👇

Celestino is proud to announce a major milestone in the activation of our landmark Sydney Science Park, with its first State Significant Development Application (SSDA) lodged for the Project.

Sydney Science Park, spanning over 271 hectares, is one of the largest zoned and fully serviced sites in NSW approved for employment and housing.

Sydney Science Park is being shaped as a vibrant, mixed-use precinct where people can live, learn and work locally - bringing together education, health, research, innovation, diverse housing and new jobs for Western Sydney.

We’re also excited to confirm that Mamre Anglican School has plans to relocate to Sydney Science Park in 2029/2030, delivering a new campus for more than 1,200 students and strengthening education opportunities within the community.

This important milestone has been featured in the The Western Weekender, highlighting the significance of the SSDA lodgement for the region’s future growth.

Thrilled to see the classic quarter-acre dream still alive — and even more excited to see Glossodia, NSW highlighted as one of the standout places where it’s possible.

realestate.com.au latest piece dives into why bigger blocks are back on the wish-list for so many Aussie families: room for kids to roam, space for a backyard shed or pool, and that breathing-room lifestyle that’s getting harder to find closer to the city.

The article puts the spotlight on Celestino’s latest project Jacaranda Glossodia in the Hawkesbury as a rare opportunity to build on quarter-acre (1,000sqm) up to full-acre blocks, surrounded by nature - including 64 hectares of green space and a future lake park with trails and cycle paths.

For buyers who want the “best of both worlds” - a peaceful, semi-rural setting with Sydney still within reach - Glossodia continues to shine.

If you’ve been holding out for space without giving up connection, this one’s worth a read. https://www.realestate.com.au/news/the-quarter-acre-block-new-estates-where-the-classic-aussie-dream-still-reigns/

Celestino was delighted to sponsor this year’s Mamre Anglican School Community Extravaganza - a celebration that brings students, families, and the wider community together for an evening of fun, food, and fireworks.

This partnership is especially meaningful as Mamre prepares to relocate to Sydney Science Park in 2029. Over the coming years, their new campus plans to welcome 1,200+ students from K- Year 12, and will form a cornerstone of SSP’s vision as an education, innovation, health and knowledge-driven precinct for Western Sydney.

We’re proud to support Mamre’s journey - from their much-loved events today to the exciting future that lies ahead at Sydney Science Park.
