1916: a sprawling tannery once stood on what’s now the Old Aberdeen Place edge of SCQ, turning hides into leather for saddlery and harnesses.

From leather to City Motors to SCQ, this corner has never stopped working. It’s why our newest co-living building carries the name; the Tannery Lofts.

Meet Our Neighbours: House of Hobby.

A little creativity goes a long way at Houseofhobby. Just around the corner from SCQ, this welcoming studio brings people together to try something new, whether that’s pottery or painting, making stained glass or learning to bake sourdough.

Their workshops are an invitation to slow down, enjoy the process and discover a hobby you might just want to keep.

The Commons is the shared space at the centre of the precinct, connecting the buildings with a place people can actually use. Green space, room to meet, and a reason to spend time here beyond any one destination.

West Perth has always known how to welcome people. The Club Hotel (later the Tower Hotel) stood right on our doorstep on Charles Street from 1897 until the 1970s, when the freeway took its place. Almost 50 years on, a hotel is coming back to West Perth, this time right here on our site.

Some things really do come full circle.
