Back in Time | MYLOR. Circa 1870's
What was once an excavation site during the Biggs Flat Gold Rush of the 1870's later became known as Silver Lake. Fed by a natural spring, it transformed into a popular local swimming hole in the 1920's, attracting visitors for boating, picnics, cricket and tennis.
While Silver Lake remains a fascinating part of Mylor's history, the lake and surrounding land are now private property and are not accessible to the public today.
