Buyers open your wardrobes. Yes, really. 👀
At every open home, people slide those robe doors open. What they see tells them whether the house has enough storage. A stuffed wardrobe says "too small," even when it isn't.
Here are 3 easy fixes to make your wardrobe feel twice the size: 1️⃣ Swap out the off-season. Winter woollies don't need prime hanging space on the Sunshine Coast in spring. Pack them into labelled tubs under the bed or up top, and only keep what you're actually wearing.
2️⃣ Match your hangers. Slim velvet hangers take up far less rail than chunky plastic or timber ones. Group clothes by type and colour, and the whole robe instantly looks calm and considered.
3️⃣ Leave some breathing room. Aim to keep the rail about a third empty. Space you can see is what buyers remember, and it makes your home feel bigger and easier to live in. It's the little things that make a home feel buyer-ready. After 37 years in soft furnishings and 6 years helping people get their homes ready for sale (or just making their home feel like home), I promise, it's never just about the big stuff.
