We often get asked if we provide breakfast. I guess we could provide toast and cereal……OR, we could send you three minutes up the road to find Wonton Nachos, Banana Bread and French toast that belongs in a dessert cabinet, and coffee worth getting dressed for.

We chose the second option.

😂🇩🇪🇦🇺 INTERNATIONAL HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST 🇦🇺🇩🇪

One of our German guests left us this handwritten note explaining that poor old Pipo now has to borrow money from his wife because Bitcoin has gone down. 📉💸😅

Thankfully, due to Justine’s four years studying German in high school 🫣😬 (and some help from ChatGPT) we were able to translate it.

Apparently things are tough in the crypto world right now…and even tougher when your wife controls the purse strings.

Naturally, we felt it was only appropriate to reply with:

“Dear Pipo,
May your Bitcoin soar and may your wife’s purse strings loosen slightly.
Have a lovely foggy Tasmanian day.
From the Australians.” 😂

Honestly, this is the stuff we love most about hosting people from all over the world, the laughs, the random notes, the cultural humour and the unexpected human moments.

How good is this! Congratulations Jyron Flannery - this was a magnificent effort 👏🏻⭐️🙌🏻
So pleased to be able to support the campaign in a small way.

A years-long campaign by a Tasmanian bartender ended in a personal thank-you from one of Australia's biggest pop stars, after Tones and I flew home from London to play a huge show in his small coastal town.

The concert was the result of a grassroots push led by 19yo Jyron Flannery.

The show at the Ulverstone Sound Shell drew up to 7000 people, after Flannery’s page and Change.org petition rallied more than 3200 supporters.

Central Coast mayor Cheryl Fuller said the community’s campaign was “rewarded”, after temporarily renaming the town UlversTones&I for the occasion.

Flannery thanked the community and singer after the show, with Tones and I replying that it was “beautiful” to meet him and his family.

Remy, the ‘Red Dog’ has gone missing from Mt Gnomon Farm. They are missing her desperately. If you have seen her, please get it touch with them. Mt Gnomon Farm

Remi is still missing. It's a bit of a mystery.

We think it's unlikely that she ran off into the Dial as she had just returned from a walk up the road. We also think it's unlikely she was taken by a camper as there were only a few here at the time and they all stayed all weekend. There were lots of people at the farm so it's unlikely she was bored and wandered off.

Maybe she was bitten by a snake but it was cold on Friday and you thought she would have returned to the farm.

If someone has picked her up we would love her back. She is super friendly with a sweet nature.Just keep an eye out she is a unique looking dog with unmistakable markings.
