Did you know Specialist Disability Accommodation can include living with family?

Through Appendix H, eligible participants may be able to live in an SDA home with family members, a partner or a friend who doesn’t receive SDA funding.

At GR8 Disability Housing, we know navigating NDIS funding and understanding what’s possible can feel complicated.

We’re excited to welcome Ellen as the first participant to move into her new home at Civic Gardens in Cannington 💙

After officially opening Civic Gardens, seeing Ellen settle into her apartment is an important milestone and the reason this development was created in the first place.

Her new purpose-built Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) apartment has been designed to support greater independence, while keeping her connected to the local community.

Meet Alyssa 👋🏻

With a background in residential property administration and operations, Alyssa brings care and compassion to her role as our Property Management Assistant.

Over the past three years, she has built valuable experience in maintenance coordination and tenant relations before transitioning into disability housing.

For Alyssa, joining GR8 was an opportunity to combine her professional skills with something personally meaningful.

Growing up alongside her sister, who has a hearing disability, shaped her understanding of the importance of accessible and supportive living environments.

As Property Management Assistant, Alyssa supports the important behind-the-scenes processes that help GR8 homes run smoothly, from coordinating maintenance and managing notices through to operational support.
