A single line in a contract can cost you thousands - or protect you from it.

I will admit it: I am a bit of a legal geek. I read the fine print, I question the wording, and I flag anything that does not sit right. I am not a lawyer, but I know enough to recognize when something deserves a closer look.

More than once, that habit has caught a clause that would have put a client at risk. A closing date that did not work. An obligation quietly shifted onto the buyer. A condition worded to favour the other side.

Details are not boring. Details are protection.
