Brantford Market Update — March 2026
The three biggest changes this month were:
1. Average days to sell increased by 25 days, up 58.1%
Homes are taking much longer to sell compared to March of last year, going from 43 days to 68 days.
2. Year-to-date home sales dropped by 48 sales, down 18.5%
So far this year, 212 homes have sold compared to 260 at the same time last year.
3. Months of inventory increased by 0.57 months, up 17.2%
Inventory levels rose from 3.32 months last year to 3.89 months this year, showing more supply in the market.
The Brantford market in March 2026 shows a slower pace compared to last year. Homes are taking longer to sell, inventory has gone up, and both monthly and year-to-date sales are down. At the same time, average prices have also moved lower, which may give buyers more room to negotiate.
There were 362 active listings this month, which is only slightly higher than last year’s 359. New listings were also down, both for the month and year-to-date, which shows that fewer properties are coming to market. Even with that, the rise in inventory and longer selling times suggest demand is not keeping up at the same pace as last year.
The average residential price came in at $588,350, down $75,935 or 11.4% from last year. Year-to-date sales are also well below the 5-year average of 364, which shows the market is still running behind more typical levels. Overall, this looks like a market that is more balanced than it was before, but still slower than last year.
