Downsizing looks different for everyone. 🏡

I hear the word downsizing all the time in real estate but I've learned that it means something completely different depending on who I'm talking to.

For one person, it means a smaller home with less maintenance.

For someone else, it means a bungalow because they're done with stairs.

Maybe it's moving into town to be closer to everything.

Maybe it's less yard work... but you're absolutely NOT giving up the garage.

And for a lot of people, a basement is still a must.

You may be ready for less house, but that doesn't mean you're ready to part with everything you've collected over the years.

Family keepsakes. Christmas decorations. The kids' things. Furniture you're not quite ready to let go of. Boxes of memories that you're definitely going to sort through one day. 😂

Sometimes you don't need another bedroom.

You need a storage room.

And that's okay.

Downsizing doesn't have to mean getting rid of everything or squeezing yourself into the smallest home you can find.

It means finding a home that fits the life you're living now while still having room for the things that matter to you.

So instead of asking:
