Thank you to for inviting me to the Community Impact Event held this morning at on Brant Street in the city of Burlington. I had the chance to meet who is the Halton Regional Chair, and former 7th round draft pick of the Boston Bruins, and I also had a chance to chat with many of the amazing people that help run the YMCA. I was honoured to be invited to see how our fund raising efforts from is utilized to positively impact those of our community that are most in need, and it was an honour to be there to represent the . This year was my 2nd time involved with Hockey Helps the Homeless, and I plan to be involved as long as we both exist. Thank you once again for the invite Genevieve 🙏❤️

What an incredible day we had at the 2nd charity event, Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford edition. In total, the tournament raised an incredible $149,414.77, and we represented the where we raised an outstanding $21,004.09. Congratulations goes out to who came out on top as the #1 fundraising Team, raising a total of $23,169.45, and the third place, Reyes an impressive $15,363.06. I am also very proud to announce that my friends and colleagues at captained by my good friend came in fourth place with $14,356.72. rounded up the top five raising $10,051.41. Congratulations to all of these amazing organizations.

None of this could have been achieved without the amazing staff at along with all of the wonderful individuals that volunteered their time. A mention also has to go out to the management of the LIUNA 4 Ice Centre for hosting the event.

Coming in second place gave us the opportunity of selecting as our pro, and he did not disappoint. John Scott who is the father of eight lovely daughters, was MVP of the 2016 NHL All-Star game, who was and still is a fan favorite. We thank you for your time and for being an amazing teammate.

A special thanks to everyone who generously donated not only to our team, but to all be teams involved. We all had such an amazing time, and we hope to be there again in 2027.

Homelessness in our beautiful county full of riches and opportunity is unfortunately a reality and an epidemic. As much as we would like, Homelessness will never be eradicated, but with some hard work and persistence, together we can make a difference. Only 56 Days until Puck Drop for the Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford tournament. Hockey Helps the Homeless is a charitable organization which raises awareness and funding for very deserving organizations such the that locally supports the homelessness cause in the Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford areas.

In the Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford areas, it is estimated that over 2000 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic. On April 10th, I will be participating in my second tournament on a team sponsored by the , one of Canada’s largest and longest-running men’s recreational hockey leagues (founded in 1975).

At Hockey Helps the Homeless, they invest in solutions that ensure individuals and families have a place to call home and the supports they need to thrive.

Last year, I participated in the inaugural Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford tournament, which was sponsored by our local Real Estate Board . Hockey Helps the Homeless is a charitable organization which raises awareness and funding for very deserving organizations such the that locally supports the homelessness cause in the Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford areas.

In the Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford areas, it is estimated that over 2000 men, women and children are homeless on any given night, but together we can change this statistic.
