This beautifully renovated 1.5-storey home feels more like a private year-round getaway than a typical lake house. And the best part? You’re just minutes from Pigeon Lake Provincial Park and The Village at Pigeon Lake.

⭐️ **Another awesome review!**

J&D were an absolute blast to work with.

One of the fun parts of real estate is that sometimes people know exactly what they want. And sometimes they know they want **a home**, but have absolutely no idea where that home should be. 😂
That was part of the adventure. We looked at different options, talked through what made sense for them, and eventually found the right spot in the right town. From there, it was a lot of late-night messages, jumping on new listings, showing properties, working through inspection questions and figuring out what needed to happen to get them comfortably into their new home. They were so much fun to work with, and I’m genuinely happy we were able to help them find the right fit.

Here’s what they had to say:

*"Gerrik Ripley helped us every step of the way to find our perfect home. We had no idea where we wanted to live and he suggested the best town for us. He sent us listings the minute they came out and was always available when we wanted to view a property. He was there for us throughout the day, answering our questions and helping us whenever we needed it, even late into the night. He went far beyond what we expected from a realtor.

He also helped us figure out how to address things from the inspection report and recommended people he knew who could do the work. He truly went above and beyond for us. He was very patient and helpful throughout the entire process and we are so happy we had the opportunity to work with him. We would absolutely recommend Gerrik to anyone looking for a realtor!"*

Thank you both for trusting me through the whole process and for making it so much fun. I’m pretty happy we figured out where you were supposed to end up. 😂🏡

**Congratulations again!**

Last, but certainly not least… Meet Brynn! 🤍

Brynn is the newest face on the MY Local Realtor team, but she’s certainly not new to Camrose.

Born and raised here, she’s a true local who knows the community from the inside out.

She’s Marilou’s assistant, a wife and dog mom, a horse lover, a spin-class regular, and a self-described Swiftie.

She brings a fresh perspective, lots of energy and a genuine love of people to the team.

And if you see someone zipping around town on a mission, there’s a good chance it’s Brynn. 😂 She’s often the one running errands, picking things up, dropping things off, grabbing signs, delivering gifts and generally keeping Marilou’s many moving parts moving. If Marilou needs it, Brynn is probably on her way.

And this winter, Brynn will be taking on an even bigger role around here as she steps in to help keep things running while Emma heads off on her maternity leave.

She may be newer to the real estate world, but she’s already very much part of the MY Local Realtor family.

Camrose born. Camrose raised. And now helping make Camrose home for others. 🏡

🎬 **125 PEOPLE FOR CARS!** 🚗🍿

September officially kicked off another year of **Free Family Movies at the Bailey Theatre**, and what a way to start! 125 people came out to enjoy CARS on the big screen, and we couldn't be happier to see the theatre full again.

We also had some great feedback from the night:

⭐️ John Pasychnyk:
*"We love how the concession is set up, the seating is great and the movie selections for the upcoming year are perfect! The only thing that I can think of would be seat boosters for the kids."*

⭐️ Danielle Aucoin:
*"Really good."*

⭐️ Russell Woodfine:
*"Really good."*

We really appreciate everyone who comes out, but especially those who take a minute to leave us feedback, good or bad. The whole point of doing these movies is to make them better for the community, and we've actually made changes because of your feedback before. The 6:30 PM start time was changed two years ago specifically because people told us that time worked better for families.

So please keep the feedback coming! And John... we'll have to see what we can do about those booster seats. 😂 **Coming up in October...**

👻 **THE GOONIES!** 🏴‍☠️
We'll see you at the Bailey Theatre! 🍿
Huge thank you to everyone who came out for CARS. We're already looking forward to the next one!

It’s been a little while since we introduced the people behind MY Local Realtor! 👋

You may know our names, recognize us around town, or have worked with one of us along the way, but there’s a lot more to our little team than what happens at the end of a For Sale sign.

Over the next few posts, we’re giving you a peek at the people behind the business. The homegrown connections, the community involvement, the random hobbies, and the things that make each of us, well… us.

Because real estate may be what we do, but people are what make this team. 💙

First up… the woman behind MY Local Realtor. Meet Marilou! ✨

You probably know Marilou as a Realtor, but there’s a lot more to her than real estate.

She’s a mom to three boys, a wife to a firefighter, a proud Camrose resident for 30 years, and someone who genuinely loves being part of this community.

She’s spent the last 10 years building her real estate business, but some of her favourite parts of the job have nothing to do with houses. It’s the people, the relationships, the referrals, the celebrations and getting to be part of so many different chapters of people’s lives.

She’s also a pretty big believer in showing up for your community, whether that means supporting a local organization, sponsoring an event, or simply knowing the people and places that make Camrose feel like home.

And yes, she really does love a good Love Local board meeting. 😉

30 years in Camrose. 10 years in real estate. One very full life outside of work.

That’s Marilou. ❤️
