This is one of my favourite things about living here - nature doesnā€™t stay on the outskirts, it just shows up.

Allow me to re-introduce myself.

I've called Canmore home for 29 years. I grew up in small town Alberta, and the moment I arrived here, it felt like exactly where I was supposed to be. I unpacked my car and just stood there for a minute, taking in some of the most incredible mountain views I'd ever seen.

These days, life is full. I am a Mom to two amazing daughters, my rambunctious English Setter Prince, and I have the most wonderful friends and colleagues around me. Community and relationships have always come first for me, and I'm endlessly grateful I get to call this place home.

Buying and selling real estate is my joy. It's about building trust, building relationships, and helping people land somewhere they're excited to call home too.

This view is exactly why buyers keep asking me about short-term rentals in Canmore. šŸ”ļø

A few things worth knowing before you buy one:
Short-term rentals here are only legal in properties with the correct zoning - not standard residential zones. Every unit needs its own Town of Canmore business licence, and that licence number has to be displayed on every listing. No new Tourist Home zoning is being approved, so existing zoned properties hold real value simply because supply is capped.

Enforcement is serious - fines start at $2,500 for a first offence and climb from there for unlicensed or improperly zoned listings.

Bottom line: buy right, and an STR in Canmore can be a strong investment. If you're considering one, let's make sure you're looking at the right properties.
