🚨 Facility Update – Saturday, Dec 13

Updated at 6:00 p.m - The pool will remain closed on Sunday December 14. We hope to reopen on Monday. Further updates will be posted once available.

Due to the current water conservation request and boil water advisory, the Centennial Aquatic Centre pool is closed today. Further closures may occur depending on water main repair progress.
Arenas remain open, but with reduced flooding schedules. Thank you for your understanding as we work through these repairs. Stay tuned for updates!

Boating Safety Alert!

OPP stats show there have been 10 boating-related fatalities and drowning deaths are up 16% in Ontario so far this year. This is a stark reminder to prioritize safety on the water!

The OPP is urging all boaters to take necessary precautions:
⛵Wear a life jacket - every person on board, every time! Inflatables only count if they're worn. Don't risk it - life jackets save lives!
🛶Ensure all safety equipment is in good working order and easily accessible
‍🚤Don't boat under the influence - zero tolerance!

With an idea and goal from Sue The UNESCO Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve fundraising Swim Across Parry Sound was a big success raising over $13,250.00!!! There were 9 of us swimming with kayak support. Many thanks to Siobhan you were an amazing kayaker and navigator for me especially through the thick fog we encountered in the middle of the Sound! The swimmers crossed over 10K across the Sound from Lighthouse Point at Killbear Provincial Park to Waubano Beach in Parry Sound. We even had a photographer with a drone which was awesome! What an amazing time on the water with great people for a great cause THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!! 🌊🏊‍♂️😁
