Canada Housing Could Look Very Different in 2027
Looking ahead to 2027, the housing landscape in Canada is projected to evolve in some meaningful ways. According to CMHC, we can expect a gradual improvement as incomes and economic growth gain momentum. While sales activity is set to recover, it’s important to note CMHC forecasts that transaction volumes may still linger below the typical highs of the past decade. CREA’s outlook of only modest national price growth suggests we’re shifting toward a more balanced market, not another surge. With inventory increasing and demand softening in certain areas, buyers could find themselves in a stronger negotiating position. In the Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley markets, these trends will likely echo what I’ve seen on the ground: more stability and a healthier balance between buyers and sellers. My focus remains on helping clients navigate these changes with sound advice and strategic negotiation, ensuring you are prepared for opportunities in both shifting and stabilizing markets.
