🍂 Happy Thanksgiving, everyone 🍁

Most people don’t know this, but I’d already been in the business for five years by then. My best friend and I were partners, and we did pretty well. Then the market crashed, life happened, and I stepped away for a while.
When I came back, he’d made the call to go a different direction with his career. It was the right move for him, and I couldn't be more proud of the guy. And yes, we are still best friends. 🙌
And me? I stayed. And I locked in. 🔒
I started hiring professional photographers. Doing floor plans. Doing things that a lot of agents in my area weren't quite doing yet. Reading every book I could find from the most successful agents in the world. 📚 Treating this like the career I wanted it to be, and not just a job.
That was the moment it all clicked.
I wouldn’t trade the hard years for anything. They built everything that came after.
Twelve years later(17 in total)... I get to do this alongside people who are my best friends, my chosen family and my business partners. Mel, Errik, Taunya, you make every day better. To our clients, our community here in the Cowichan Valley, and everyone who’s trusted us along the way, thank you. None of this happens without you. 🏡
And to my family, thank you for always supporting my decisions, my antics, my frequent moves and for always listening to my wins, and comforting my losses. You guys are the best. ❤️
Today I’m just really grateful. For my life, my people, and a career I love showing up for.
