Congratulations to Dave and Ann on finally putting down roots and calling Fort McMurray home!

Dave was an old colleague from years ago, and I nicknamed him “Door Jammer”—in fact, that was his actual contact name in my phone. He was notorious for popping into my office, hanging out in the doorway first thing in the morning, always ready to make me laugh and catch up on life.

Fast forward, and I got to meet Ann. It did not take long to see that she has the exact same personality as Dave: humour galore, big laughs, and the kind of energy that makes everyone around them smile. I could not be happier that Dave found his lifelong person.

Thank you both for letting me be a small part of your story; one that is clearly going to be filled with adventure and laughter.

I’ll give you a little time to settle in before I put in my order for German bread and homemade pizza!
