From a heartfelt referral to a beautiful SOLD sign, this one has been such a special journey. 🥹

It all started when a past client trusted me enough to pass my name along to his former neighbours. That little act of kindness turned into the opportunity to help another wonderful family take their next big step.

🥂A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

Some moves are about finding a new home. Others are about stepping into a whole new chapter of your life...
We searched high and low all summer for the right place. Something that fit the budget, worked for a downsized lifestyle, still offered enough space to really live, and most importantly, had the potential to feel like hers.

And then we found this little diamond in the rough. 💎
A corner-unit condo with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, heated underground parking, tons of natural light, and a HUGE southwest-facing deck that is basically begging for sunshine, flowers and a little rasied garden bed next summer. 🌿☀️

Is it perfect yet? Nope. And that might actually be the best part.
There are projects ahead. Paint colours to choose. Rooms to make her own. Little changes that will slowly turn someone else's condo into her home. And I genuinely don't think we could have found a better unit for her to do exactly that.

Big moves can feel scary. New chapters can feel scary too.

⭐️✨What an incredible evening!!✨⭐️

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the STARS fundraising Gala - It was especially meaningful because I got to attend alongside my mom, the artist behind Prairie Girl Fine Arts, who was honoured as the featured artist of the evening. ❤️

Throughout the evening, three of her original paintings were auctioned, including one she painted LIVE during the gala and then watched go up for bids. By the end of the night, her artwork had raised more than $7,500 for STARS Air Ambulance 🤯 I could not have been more proud!!

Living in Northern Alberta, we know just how important STARS is to our communities. When someone is critically ill or injured and every minute matters, STARS helps bring specialized emergency care to people who may otherwise be hours away from it. Behind every flight is a person, a family and a community whose world can change in an instant.

I left last night feeling incredibly grateful. Grateful for the generosity in that room, grateful for the businesses and individuals who continue to support STARS, and very grateful to have watched my mom use something she loves to make such a meaningful contribution.

A beautiful night celebrating art, generosity and a service that means so much to the communities we call home. 🚁 ♥️

✨ OFFICIALLY SOLD IN WEDGEWOOD ✨

This one feels GOOD. 🥂

When you’re entrusted with a property this special, the marketing needs to match the home.

Kat’s client trusted her with the sale of this incredible $1.4M Wedgewood property. And since Kat was out of town when it came time for prepping, she trusted me to step in and handle the staging, photography and visual marketing.

That trust meant a LOT to me.

Because if there is one part of this job that I've gotten very skilled at... it’s marketing a beautiful home.

I obsess over the details. The angles. The lighting. The staging. The features that deserve their own moment. I want someone scrolling through those photos to understand what makes this home special before they ever walk through the front door.

And holy smokes, did this house give me something to work with. 🤌🏻

The photos turned out absolutely gorgeous, and when the listing hit the market, the right buyers saw them and jumped on the phone. We had an accepted offer almost immediately.

Then came the less glamorous part of real estate: the work happening quietly behind the scenes. The buyers had a home of their own to sell, pieces needed to fall into place, and everyone had to be patient while they did.

And now we finally get to say it...

This sale was built on trust from beginning to end. A client who trusted Kat. Kat trusting me. And both of us bringing what we do best to the table to get the job done.

Being referred by a past client is literally the biggeset flex ever 💪🏼

These sellers came to me because a dear client, who used to be their neighbour, passed along my name after I sold his home last year.

My new sellers had a goal: sell quickly. They asked for my professional advice and then... they actually LISTENED TO IT. Dream client move right there.

I gave them a personalized homework list to help their home show its absolute best. They decluttered, we brought in cleaners and painters, and I added the finishing touches with staging.

And OH MY WORD did this house photograph BEA-utifully 👌🏼

We launched feeling pretty darn confident... And naturally, the market decided that exact moment would be a great time to slow down. 😂 Because real estate likes to keep us humble.

One of the advantages of listing with me is that you don’t just get ME marketing your home. You get my entire team behind it. Seven licensed agents, seven networks, seven audiences, sharing our listings across every platform we can get our hands on.

And lo and behold... the right buyer saw it. 👀

She booked a showing, explored the rest of the market in her price range, and came back to this one.

The main-floor primary suite, soaring kitchen ceilings and beautiful family-friendly Signature Falls location were pretty hard to beat. 🏡💗

Now we have a solid ACCEPTED OFFER, and I get the extra-fun privilege of walking this incredibly savvy buyer through the steps toward making it hers!

The secret sauce to a less stressful sale really isn’t complicated:

🏡✨ SOLD! And ohhhh, did we WORK for this one. ✨🏡

Some transactions are smooth sailing.... than there's some that require approximately 847 phone calls, a little creative problem solving, a LOT of patience, and occasionally… the less-nice version of Janel has to clock in. 😂☎️

C+C have been on quite the journey with me.

We found the “perfect” home once before, only to have it fall apart. It sucked.

But then something pretty wonderful happened.

We found THE home. 🤗

The one that somehow turned out to be even more perfect for them in just about every way!!!!

Getting from accepted offer to SOLD wasn’t exactly a straight line. There were roadblocks behind the scenes that none of us could control, and there were definitely moments when these two needed someone firmly in their corner.

Whether you’re 20 or 80, buying your first home or your fifth, tech-savvy or wondering why everyone keeps sending you things to electronically sign 😂, cool as a cucumber or operating with approximately 97 tabs of anxiety open in your brain…

I will meet you where you are. I’ll explain it again. I’ll make the phone call. I’ll chase down the answer. I’ll advocate for you when something doesn’t feel right.

And if necessary, I will power-call your finance person until somebody picks up. 😇😂

I have officially spent half of my life selling real estate, and while I do love houses - I love the people most.

And I absolutely ADORE these two. These ladies are hilarious, sweet, wonderfully themselves, and somewhere along the way they stopped feeling like clients and started feeling like friends. 💗

This house represents so much more than a possession date. It’s a fresh start. A new chapter. A safe place to land after a season that wasn’t always easy.

And I am SO freaking happy they get to start that chapter here. 🏡✨

Congratulations, ladies. WE DID IT!!!!

Now get yourselves moved in, put the kettle on, and save me a seat because I fully intend on inviting myself over for tea once you’re settled. 😂☕️💗
