🚯Temporary Waste Services for Flood-Affected Residents

Niagara Region has temporarily enhanced waste collection services to support Grimsby residents affected by recent flooding.

Temporary supports include:
• Garbage limits lifted for flood-related waste on regular collection days from Aug. 10–14
• No booking or item limit for flood-related large items
• Tipping fees waived at the Niagara Road 12 Landfill from Aug. 7–15 for flood-related waste

Planning to visit the landfill? Please bring identification showing you live in an eligible area. A maximum of one pickup truck or trailer load per household applies. Residents should expect longer wait times due to increased volumes.

Vehicles may be metered onto the site to help manage traffic and maintain safety. Vehicles waiting outside the gate at the scheduled closing time will not be admitted.
