It's fall in Muskoka. 🍂

Hear from our Director of Design, Kristin, as she answers some of our most commonly asked questions about the design process, from our curated interiors and designing a home to suit the land, to how Net Zero building impacts design.

Thoughtful design is about creating a home that feels connected to its surroundings, reflects your personal style, and performs beautifully too.

We’re incredibly honoured to be named a finalist in two categories for the 2026 Ontario Home Builders’ Association Awards of Distinction! 🏡✨

🍃 Low-Rise Green Building — Project INatur

A Net Zero home designed around energy efficiency, thoughtful architecture and a strong connection to its natural surroundings.

🔨 Home Renovation (Retail Value over $500,001) — Project Fieldstone

A complete transformation that reimagined an existing six-unit building into three thoughtfully designed luxury suites.

We’re so proud to see these two very different projects recognized and incredibly grateful to the homeowners, trades, suppliers and entire Stratton team who helped bring them to life.

Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists, and thank you to the OHBA for continuing to recognize and celebrate excellence in Ontario’s home building and renovation industry.

We’re looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the Awards of Distinction this fall!

Imagine looking out of giant, triple-glazed windows at a raging winter blizzard, hearing absolutely nothing—no whistle of wind, no creaks—while feeling completely warm with zero drafty cold zones. This isn't a high-priced luxury fantasy; it is the daily reality of living in a net-zero-ready home in Ontario’s snowy Cottage Country. While many builders struggle to balance extreme cold climates with escalating construction costs, Huntsville-based Stratton Homes has unlocked a practical "secret sauce" to build highly efficient, comfortable homes that remain strictly cost-competitive.

Check out the newest episode in our Chasing Net Zero Series and be sure to subscribe to the series so you don't miss a single epiosde. These builders are building the future of homes today.
