Myth: Condominium managers make all the rules.

Fact: Condominium managers help enforce the rules, but they do not create them on their own.

Condo rules, bylaws, and policies are set by the condominium corporation and its board of directors. The property manager’s role is to help guide the board, communicate expectations, support day-to-day operations, and ensure rules are followed fairly and consistently.

In simple terms: the board makes decisions, the condo manager helps carry them out.

Understanding the difference helps create clearer communication between owners, residents, boards, and management.
