You ever walk into a house and immediately feel like something is… off? 👀

Steve shares a story about showing a home where everything was going perfectly—until his client opened a door in the basement, got the chills, and bolted out of the house.

Steve didn’t see or feel anything himself. But his client was convinced she felt a presence.

Sometimes a home’s stigma has nothing to do with what you can actually see.

👻 Do you believe some houses can have a “presence”? Yes or no?

A home inspection is incredibly valuable, but it does have limits.

A good inspector can tell you a lot about a home.

They can spot signs of moisture.
They can check visible systems.
They can use tools like thermal imaging and moisture meters.

But they can’t see through walls.

That’s why a home inspection is about understanding what can be inspected, what can’t be seen, and what questions still need to be asked before you move forward.

In Episode 397 of The Real Estate Podcast, Steve Cecchetto sits down with special guest Mark Ellison from The Home Coach to talk about what buyers should really expect from a home inspection.

AI is supposed to make life easier… so why does getting customer service somehow feel harder than ever? 😅

In Episode 405 of The Real Estate Podcast, Jennifer Goncalves and Tiffany Kadak get into the frustrating reality of AI chatbots, automated phone systems, self-checkouts, impossible-to-reach support departments, and the slow disappearance of actual human interaction.

They also talk about where AI does make sense, where companies are taking it too far, and why sometimes you just want to pick up the phone and talk to a real person.

If you’ve ever caught yourself yelling “I JUST WANT A HUMAN!” at an automated system… this episode is for you. 😂

Why does getting help from a company now feel like a game of trying to outsmart the chatbot? 😂

You type in your problem, it sends you to an FAQ page, the article doesn’t help… and somehow you’re still no closer to speaking with an actual person.

At this point, the first thing we’re typing is: REAL HUMAN.

Country living sounds peaceful… until you realize how much more comes with the property. 🌾

From well water and septic systems to simply keeping up with the land, there are a lot of things city and suburban homeowners may not think about before making the move. And for some people, that extra work is exactly what they love about it.

If cutting the grass on your Milton lot already feels like a chore… acreage might be a wake-up call. 😂

Cashback at closing can sound like an easy win—but the amount you get back is only one part of the equation.

Experience, availability, negotiation skills and the quality of your representation can have a much bigger impact when you’re making a major real estate decision.

Cashback from your Realtor sounds like a pretty good deal… but is it actually saving you money?

In this episode of The Real Estate Podcast, Ariel Kormendy and Adrian Trott break down the rise of cashback real estate agents and the trade-offs buyers should consider before choosing an agent based on the rebate they’re offering.

From experience and availability to negotiation skills, service and representation, they discuss why saving a few thousand dollars at closing could potentially cost you much more during the transaction.

They also get into buyer trust, misleading square footage, what actually makes a Realtor valuable, AI in real estate, and where they’re seeing opportunities in today’s market.
