CIP Modular CIP is a leader in BC’s modular industry. Homes and Commercial design, build, transport, and install. Our team is committed to safety.

Our dedicated team of carpenters, install specialists, and oversize haul truck drivers are capable of transporting and installing modular building projects, big or small. We work with industry leading manufacturers to provide a full service operation. In Summer 2022 we launched our new line of homes, built in Nanaimo for life anywhere in BC. Originally specializing in the commercial and industrial sectors, CIP Modular offers a full range of turn-key modular solutions including custom build, transportation and installation. Our modular building expertise includes (but is not limited to) homes and cottages, portable classrooms, daycares, and office spaces big or small. Our work portfolio is broad and diverse, with clients spanning remote locations all over BC, Alberta and the Yukon. With over 30 years in the modular construction industry, our reputation is second to none. We are CSA Certified and COR Certified and actively employ a full-time health and safety officer to ensure our team is operating at levels that exceed the standards. CIP Modular proudly owns and operates all of our own equipment; you can put your trust in our sound fleet of modern semi-trucks, fork lifts, site machinery, site service trucks and pilot trucks.

New decals on the trucks. A growing presence in Alberta.

Our CIP Transport & Logistics fleet is getting a fresh look as we prepare for the next stage of CIP's expansion into Alberta and Northern Canada.

For us, establishing operations in the Edmonton region is about more than opening another location.

It's about being closer to the companies and projects we support, building stronger working relationships, and making it easier for clients to access the services they need.

From specialized transportation and modular installation to site services and project coordination, we're working to bring CIP's experience and practical approach closer to the people who need it.

Of course, establishing a new operation takes more than equipment, facilities, and a good business plan. It takes the right people.

As we continue growing in Alberta, we're interested in connecting with experienced operators, installers, skilled tradespeople, and industry professionals who want to do more than step into an existing role.

We're looking for people who bring ideas, take ownership of their work, and want to help shape an operation they're proud to be part of.

Alberta, we're getting started.

Tomorrow, Evan is heading for Edmonton, and he's got a pretty nice new set of wheels for the trip.

This is where our Alberta expansion starts to feel real. Evan will be setting up our office, getting our equipment organized and laying the groundwork for CIP's growing presence in the region.

For us, this is about more than putting another pin on the map. It's about being closer to our clients and their projects, so we can help when something needs to get done.

In more than 33 years, we've learned that construction goes a lot easier when you work with experienced people who answer the phone, solve problems and do what they said they would do.

That's the kind of operation we want to build in Alberta: installation, transportation and logistics, site services and project support, from a team that makes life a little easier for the people we work with.

If you know Mike, you know he wasn’t going to drive past one of our project sites without stopping.

While making his way back toward the Lower Mainland, he dropped in to see the crew, walk the site and check out the progress.

After weeks on the road visiting companies, touring facilities and talking shop with people across the industry, Mike looked pretty happy to be standing in the dirt again.

And judging by the photos, the guys didn’t mind the visit either.

There’s some great work happening here, and we’re looking forward to showing you more as the project takes shape.

A faster construction schedule can sometimes start with something that’s already built.

This is The Hawthorn, one of the completed buildings currently available through CIP Modular.

It’s a 960 sq. ft., two-module office with four private offices, an accessible washroom, a large central multi-use area and kitchenette. The interior can also be reconfigured to better suit the organization putting it to work.

But the most important feature for the right client may simply be its availability.

One of modular construction’s advantages is the ability to reduce the amount of work taking place at the final site. Selecting a completed building from available inventory can push that advantage further by removing the building-production stage from the client's upcoming schedule.

Site preparation, permitting, transportation and installation still need to be planned properly. But the building itself? It’s already here.

For companies, communities and organizations with a near-term need for office space, available inventory can be worth considering before commissioning a new build.

Day 1 is underway.

Mike Davies hit the road this morning for the start of his Western Canada trip, beginning—as most Vancouver Island road trips do—with a ferry ride.

Over the coming days, Mike will be travelling through BC and Alberta to spend some face-to-face time with clients, partners, industry friends and new connections.

The current route will take him through Kamloops, Kelowna, Lethbridge, Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Jasper and Prince George before working his way back home.

But there's intentionally some flexibility built into the trip. If another meeting or worthwhile conversation comes up along the way, Mike is happy to make the detour.

We'll share a few updates from the road as the trip continues.

There's a lot more behind a successful modular installation than what happens on crane day.

Before a module can be placed, it needs to be designed and built with transportation and installation in mind. The route needs to be planned. The site needs to be ready. Equipment and crews need to be coordinated. And when it's time to set the building, everything needs to come together.
