I thought Ben Humble’s strategy got me scammed.

We already had the property under contract at 20% below market value.

Most people would’ve celebrated and moved on.

But before removing conditions, I used a strategy from Ben Humble’s playbook.

Stay patient.
Don’t negotiate with emotion.
Use leverage when everyone thinks the deal is already done.

For a moment, it honestly felt risky.

Like we might lose the deal completely.

But instead of backing off, we stayed calm and held position.

A few conversations later…

The seller agreed to another $30,000 price reduction.

Same property.
Same contract.
Way better numbers.

That experience taught me something important:

The best negotiators don’t just win the deal…
they keep improving the deal.
