The Bank of Canada (BoC) keep interests rates steady at 2.25%… again.

This is the fourth consecutive hold for as many announcements. The economy is softening, unemployment and energy prices are rising

July 10th is the next decision. Depending on global economic conditions we may see a rate increase if conditions don’t resolve soon

The Bank of Canada (BoC) keep interests rates steady at 2.25%

Hesitancy has been a common theme amongst all consumers. The reality of the market is that homes are still selling, inventory is at historic highs and prices are coming down only year over year, month to month they are relatively stable but still falling.

My advice, don’t time the market, head out there today and find out whats best for you!

Huge congratulations to my buyer client on the successful closing of their new home! 🏡✨

Today’s winter market required precision, quickness, and a plan that we can execute daily to be sure we pin point and cut through the increased inventory noise in the condo market.�
Negotiations were at the forefront of every offer, and also willing to walk away as well. As a team, we didn’t feel any of the seller’s pressures in several instances. We stood our ground and got what we wanted on our terms.

Downsizing is challenging, and emotions play a significant role in decision-making. I stepped in to reassure my client that their next steps are meticulously planned to ensure a smooth transaction.

📈 Active listings hit a record of 6,300 in June and still sit at a record high above 3,500 (December)�
⚖️ MOI averaged 5.7–5.9 = buyer-leaning balanced most of the year

My prediction for 2026 is similar to my prediction in 2023. However, slightly different - Stability & Recovery.

Economists are mixed but the overall sentiment of the market today and for the year to come is much of the same.

The market will continue to reward those who are strategic, not hopeful or optimistic.
