From renting to homeownership. 🏡

A huge congratulations to my patient, kind, smart, and funny clients. It was an honour to represent you again, and represent you through your first home purchase, and I couldn’t be happier or prouder of you.

We started with a plan:�✅ Set a timeline and deadline�✅ Get pre-approved early�✅ Establish a starting point and a clear goal

From there, they put in the work. From the discovery phase, to narrowing their search to pin pointing opportunity and necessity. They learned about different home types, areas, and the components of a home. They stayed patient, asked a ton of questions which is the best way to learn, and trusted the process.

When the right opportunity came along, we didn’t jump, they came in with a clear mind, objective with a plan, a lot of discussions and reading the offer sheet many times before submitting. From strategy and numbers making sense, they got the home they truly love.

🌳 Mulock Park is officially opening. And Newmarket is getting something pretty special.

After years of planning, construction and thousands of community voices helping shape the vision, Mulock Park opens to the public September 18, 2026. 🎉

The 16-acre site at Yonge Street and Mulock Drive is being transformed into a four-season destination with:

⛸️ A refrigerated skating trail through the trees
🏒 A central outdoor rink that becomes a water feature in summer
🌲 The Hollow Log natural play area
🎨 Public art throughout the park
🚶‍♂️ New walking paths and open lawns
🏡 The restored historic Mulock House
🖼️ An Art Gallery of Ontario exhibition space
☕ The new Chickadee Café

And the opening weekend runs September 18–20, with live performances, workshops, art, local history, roller skating, kite flying and more. 🎶

For those of us who live and work in Newmarket, this is bigger than another park opening.

It adds another place for people to gather, spend time outdoors, bring the kids, meet friends and enjoy the community we call home. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Big changes are coming to Ontario rental law, and you need to know about them before September 21.

The government just rolled out a second wave of updates to the Residential Tenancies Act, and this one shakes things up. The notice period for unpaid rent is getting cut in half. Personal use evictions now come with a trade off between notice time and compensation. And for the first time ever, Ontario is putting an actual number on what counts as persistent late payment.

Swipe through, I broke down exactly what's changing and what it means for you, whether you own a rental in York Region or South Simcoe, or you're renting and weighing your next move.

One thing that has not changed, every eviction still runs through the Landlord and Tenant Board. So don't believe the panic posts.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

The Bank of Canada (BoC) keeps interests rates steady at 2.25%… again.

“Canada’s economy has been weak but is showing signs of improvement. Growth is expected to pick up, and inflation is projected to ease to around 2%. Uncertainty remains elevated.” - Bank of Canada

Regardless of the an interest rate drop or increase at this point won’t dramatically change the market.

This is the sixth consecutive hold for as many announcements. The next announcement is September 2nd.

York Region Market Highlights 👇
• Median home prices have stayed around $1.05M since November 2025.�
• Sales are increasing, but prices haven't followed... yet.�
• Inventory has remained steady at 5,400+ listings over the past three months.�
• Months of Inventory is now at its lowest level in over two years.

No one can consistently time the bottom. By the time it's obvious, the best opportunities are often gone.
