You’ve seen Jillian Exploring Arnprior, and now we’re expanding the series! We thought it would be fun to take you along as each of us explores the neighborhoods and communities we call home. 💛

First up for Jen: Grasshopper Hill / Kilborn Park, a favorite spot right in her Alta Vista neighborhood.

Just a short walk from home, it’s where you’ll find Jen and Tate pretty much every day. With an off leash dog area and trails to wander and explore, it’s definitely one of Tate’s favorite places. 🐾

And this park has a little history for Jen too. Many moons ago, Jen & Jillian played with Canterbury Little League Girls Softball and competed in an Eastern Canadian Girls Softball Championship right here. ⚾️

From childhood softball memories to everyday walks with Tate, it’s pretty special when a neighborhood spot gets to be part of so many different chapters.

Exploring Arnprior - Robert Simpson Park 💛

One of Arnprior’s favorite waterfront spots is getting a pretty big refresh! 🌳

Phase 1A of the Robert Simpson Park revitalization is underway, bringing new paved pathways, improved lighting, a new splash pad, updated play structures and more trees throughout the park.

Construction on the upper park is expected to continue through Spring 2027, with more improvements planned for the waterfront and beach area in future phases.

As someone who lives and works in Arnprior, Jillian loves getting out into the community and sharing what’s happening around town. She’ll be keeping an eye on this one as it comes together. 💛
