That’s a wrap on Q1 & the spring market’s officially underway in Ottawa.
March showed a noticeable jump in activity from February, but with inventory continuing to build, it’s keeping the market more balanced than you’d typically expect this time of year.
At the same time, new government incentives around HST on new construction are entering the picture… but it’s still early, and we haven’t fully seen how that’s going to play out.
It’s not a slow market, but it’s definitely not the aggressive spring many were expecting either.

Most people passed on this one… we didn’t.
It had been listed multiple times and just wasn’t moving, and honestly, for good reason. The layout didn’t make sense, the price wasn’t quite there, and it was in rough shape… definitely a full gut job.

But we saw the potential.

We picked it up with a plan to turn it into a proper multi-unit just minutes to downtown Ottawa, Ottawa University & Sandy Hill.

I’ll be sharing the full transformation over the next few months, including what we change, what comes up, the highs and lows, and how it all comes together.
