I've been on a sabbatical.

Well...sort of.

For the past three weeks, I've spent as much time as possible working alongside our teams in the field—at the front gates, beer tents, fence lines, and even with our First Aid team.

Why?

Because at 3D Security, we believe the best leaders never stop learning. The best training comes from understanding what our people experience every day.

It's easy to create policies from behind a desk. It's much harder—and much more valuable—to stand the post, experience the challenges, and identify ways to improve.

One of our guiding philosophies is simple:

"Walk a mile in their shoes."

The insights gained over the past few weeks will help us continue to improve our training, our procedures, and ultimately the service we provide to our clients.

You can't truly understand the industry until you've worked it.

3D Security was proud to play a small role in supporting the Manotick Founders Dinner last night.

Judging by the success of the evening, the incredible atmosphere, and the outstanding turnout, it is easy to appreciate the tremendous amount of planning, coordination, and volunteer effort that went into making this event a success.

Congratulations to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone involved in celebrating Manotick's rich history and strong community spirit. We were honoured to be part of it.

What a weekend.

The Chinatown Night Market brought thousands of visitors together to celebrate culture, food, and community—and we were proud to be part of it.

Throughout the event, our Security and First Aid teams worked seamlessly together to help create a safe and welcoming environment for vendors, performers, volunteers, and guests. From traffic and crowd management to medical readiness and rapid response capabilities, our teams remained visible, professional, and prepared from opening to close each day.

Major community events require more than just a security presence—they require coordination, communication, and a shared commitment to public safety. We were honoured to work alongside event organizers, city partners, and fellow event professionals to help support another successful event in Ottawa.

A special thank you goes out to every member of our team who spent long hours on their feet, adapted to changing conditions, and represented our organization with professionalism and pride.

3D Security was very proud to be part of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend.

With 40,000+ participants and every race sold out, this was an incredible event for Ottawa and a reminder of what strong community events look like when great planning and teamwork come together.

We are especially proud of our security professionals who stood their post through rain, long hours, early starts, and changing conditions to help support a safe experience for runners, spectators, volunteers, and event staff.

Major events like this are never the work of one team alone, and it was a privilege to work alongside event organizers, medical teams, volunteers, and other safety professionals as part of a coordinated effort to keep the weekend running smoothly.

And if we’re being honest… the cooler weather may have been appreciated by more than a few runners.
