Last night, some of our team from Right at Home Realty Port Perry had the pleasure of attending the 5th Anniversary celebration of Oak Ridges Hospice.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating five years of compassionate care, community, and the incredible impact Oak Ridges Hospice has had on so many families. So the hot pepper challenge ends in a few hours and I am currently in fourth place. If I drop to last, meaning I have raised the least amount of money for Nourish & Develop Foundation food bank out of the five competitors, I will have to eat a hot pepper on Thursday and rush a medical emergency, not to mention public humiliation. 🌶️😬

What a fabulous night our Right At Home Port Perry office had Winding Roads raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham. We had a Putt Fore Kids booth set up with the chance to win prizes. We also purchased a guitar that we had signed by all the performers, that was then auctioned off. Collectively we raised $1770 and giving back to our community makes our hearts full.

Well things are red hot spicy! 🌶️

First of all, I want to thank you all so much for donating and bumping me from second last place to second place. As competitors, we don’t know who has donated to us so I can’t thank each one of you directly but my heart is full with your generosity. Keeping me from last in this competition will prevent me from eating that hot pepper but the true winner is the incredible Nourish & Develop Foundation who so far, through all the donations to the five competitors, has received $3,851.56. Those funds will go directly to filling the shelves and fridges of their foodbank. What an amazing accomplishment!

However, the race is close and I’m getting nervous! I may be currently in second place but with only $168 separating me from Matt, things can change very quickly.

It is not lost on me that things are tough economically and not everyone can donate but if you can save me from eating that hot pepper, I would be forever grateful. 😬 Every donation helps and again, thank you so very much. 🤗
