The thrilling conclusion. Pretty much only my mom asked for. The risers are glued, screwed, and watertight!

These were pretty shallow but depending on your system and property the tanks can be a couple feet below grade. I decided to set the lids just above grade. Most recommendations seem to be for a couple inches above grade. Reason being for surface water drainage and preventing you from going over it with a mower. I prefer less of a tripping hazard. Time will tell.

By popular demand, everyone wants to know what my septic tank lids look like. Well, the old wood riser is disintegrating so I ground down the top of the concrete for a smooth surface and patched a few divots.

Next I will attach the adapter rings and will build up with plastic risers. This should provide a water tight seal and make next pump out easier.

And yes, relocate two sprinkler lines around the new risers 🤦
