This generation has shown a willingness to adjust their spending habits and consider smaller homes in order to achieve their goal of homeownership—something I often see in my work with first-time buyers here in Prince George and Northern BC. Canadians, in particular, are more open to the idea of downsizing compared to buyers in the UK, who are less likely to compromise on size. As someone who’s helped many navigate changing needs—whether it’s moving to a smaller home, rural property, or even an acreage—I know how important it is to balance your priorities while finding a place that truly feels like home.
