Hi Sarnia - Lambton.
I am Mario Fazio, and I'm here to fight for you, your family, and the future of Sarnia-Lambton.
I was born and raised in Sarnia, and I still believe it's the best place on the planet to live, work, and raise a family. Sarnia-Lambton has been my home my entire life, and I'm running for Sarnia + Lambton County Council because I want to use the experience I've gained over the past five decades to help our community continue to grow, prosper, and remain affordable for future generations.
My wife, Wendy, and I have been blessed to raise four amazing children. Lauren is a mortgage broker, Brittany is a Realtor®, Christopher is a lawyer, and Justin is a professional hockey goaltender. Family has always been at the centre of everything I do, and I want to help build a community where families, seniors, young professionals, and local businesses can all succeed.
My career has given me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Sarnia-Lambton. I became a Realtor® in 1977 and later owned and operated my own real estate brokerage for 25 years, leading a team of up to 60 sales representatives. Since then, I've helped thousands of families buy and sell homes and have worked alongside more than 30 local builders in the design, construction, and sale of over 1,000 new homes throughout our region.
Beyond real estate, I've owned and operated a variety of successful businesses, including restaurants, retail stores, transportation services, commercial developments, and a mortgage lending business that helped local families achieve homeownership. I've also developed residential subdivisions, office buildings, medical facilities, industrial buildings, and commercial plazas, working closely with municipal staff, planners, engineers, and consultants across Sarnia-Lambton.
Community service has always been important to me. I have served on the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, currently sit on the ARLANXEO Public Advisory Board, am a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary Club of Sarnia, and have proudly donated blood more than 100 times through Canadian Blood Services. Throughout my career, I've also helped attract new businesses to our area, creating jobs and strengthening our local economy.
I'm running for County Council because I believe experience matters. I understand housing, infrastructure, economic development, and responsible financial management because I've worked in these areas my entire career. I believe government should be transparent, accessible, fiscally responsible, and focused on delivering results for the people it serves.
Sarnia-Lambton has given my family incredible opportunities, and I believe our best days are still ahead. I would be honoured to earn your support and work every day to help build a stronger, more prosperous future for our entire community.
I invite you to follow along throughout this campaign, get to know me, ask questions, and share your ideas. I believe the best decisions come from listening to the people we serve, and I look forward to hearing what matters most to you. Together, we can build an even stronger future for Sarnia-Lambton.
